Permaculture
is the appropriate design system for building living arrangments
in balance with the systems we depend on for our survival. I
intend to bring together a group of people around these
principles, to collectively design and build a small village, that
will strive to create and maintain balance in our daily
activities. I'm looking for artists, designers, musicians,
scientists, farmers, etc. people who will, for the most part, work
from home or in the community. The daily movement of millions of
commuters to and from 'work' every single day is incredibly stupid
and wastefull,. Think about a day of 4 hours of computer
programing, or painting, or whatever you do for some income and 4
hours of working in the organic gardens, or helping raise
another home or communal building for the village, or harvesting
some grown crop in a nearby field, as all part of a normal day. I see us
useing appropriate technology, off grid, wind and solar, dealing
with our own waste, and improving our living conditions through
working with the natural systems that provide us our existence.
It's a building up of biological capital, by working WITH
the systems that naturally sustain life,. not mindless destruction
and the pushing of ecological debt onto our future generations..,
